This page will help you find sites of publishers for children's books to fill out your classroom or school library. Most of these allow you to order over the internet and some even let you preview the books before ordering them.

Keywords: This topic is difficult to search through. You will have better luck using two words, such as publishing and books or children, then if you used all three at the same time. You may also want to use the name of a publisher of children's titles that you already know.

This publisher has a lot of classic titles that I remember from my childhood. The site is not the easiest to browse through but you can buy the books directly from them.

Disney Books http://disney.go.com/DisneyBooks/

Disney's site has a large database to search from, but mostly those from Disney films. Some very inexpensive books are available from them.

Children's Books Online  gopher://lib.nmsu.edu/11/.subjects/Education/.childlit/.childbooks

Down-load entire books from your favorite authors of children's books. If you want to print out the text for your students or use it in the classroom for reading fluency then browse through the list of authors until you find the book you want to use.

Charlesbridge Publishing http://www.charlesbridge.com/

This site offers tons of books and different ways to browse through them: by age, author, category, etc. This site even offers Spanish and multicultural texts. you can also read the picks of the month online.
