Goal: My goal is to develop and reinforce cognitive skills and literacy of my students through the use of technology in my classroom.
Technology in my classroom consists of:
| Four computers with 17" monitors are located at one activity station. The educational software at each computer is matched daily to a student's computer literacy and pre academic needs. |

Students have cooperative learning opportunities during circle time using the one Pentium II multimedia computer with 21" monitor employed in a school audio/visual cart. Using educational software that support our weekly theme, the students have an opportunity to work together in demonstrating a variety of pre academic skill tasks.

I often use my laptop computer connected with the 21' monitor for parent-teacher meetings (using Microsoft's Power Point and Caere's Omni Form applications.) Also, AVI video clips are an excellent resource during meetings when imported into Microsoft Power Point. Read a recent article I wrote on Technology and IEPs. |
