New Requirement:

Varicella - The varicella (chickenpox) vaccine is now required for all children in child care, preschool or kindergarten (effective July 1, 2001).  It is important to know that if a child has had chickenpox disease, a doctor will need to note that on the child's official immunization record.  A letter on the doctor's letterhead stating that the child had the disease is also acceptable.  A verbal or written statement from the parent is not acceptable.
